Buddha, popular as the Enlightened one, was the philosopher, spiritual teacher, meditator, protector, mentor and the founder of Buddhism on earth. He is the one who was not born as a god but as an ordinary person, named Siddhartha. He got his name owing to his several years of meditation and the life of asceticism which eventually awakened him. His entire life story is the store flooded with many inspiring events that became the part of his journey towards renunciation.

According to the history, Buddha was born into a Sakya clan somewhere in North India, Lumbini towards southern borders of Nepal. He spent his childhood in Kapilavastu. Buddha was born to Suddhodana and Maya, and initially named Siddhartha Gautam. Suddhodana was the king of the local Sakya tribe where Siddhartha was the prince surrounded by all materialistic pleasures of life.

As we dive back into the life of Buddha, we would see that strong predictions about his life were already made by the priests. As per the common ritual, after the birth of the child a ceremony was kept to announce the name of the child. Suddhodana invited Brahmin priests for the ceremony during which one of the priests declared that he would become Buddha in future and renounce the world. After hearing such words from the priest, Suddhodana became careful and surrounded Siddhartha with all forms of luxuries.

He was always kept under the shadow by one man in his service. The best of food, clothes and things were served to him. The palace was well equipped with all sources of best entertainment from music to dance by prominent artists. Suddhodana assured that Siddhartha was kept away even from the thought of misery in every possible way.

At the age of sixteen Buddha was married to Yasodhara, who gave birth to his son named Rahul. His first encounter with misery was at the age of 29 when he went out of the palace in his chariot. Four events took place which transformed the life of Siddhartha. He saw an old age, a diseased body, a corpse and an ascetic. This was the time when his journey as Buddha began and he left the palace in search of a solution to all miseries.

After attaining Enlightenment Buddha started preaching others and spreading spiritual knowledge. His images as an ascetic sitting under Bodhi Tree with different postures of hands like blessing, teaching and touching the earth are very common as a symbol of peace and purity.

This is a better quality matcha than what is used at Starbucks!
Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This product is better than the matcha powder mix used at Starbucks! Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it's basically just sweetened milk. If you've come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It's what you should be drinking instead! When I've tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I've not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I'm pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you'd have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar. It dissolves wonderfully in a few ounces of the liquid of your choice (I prefer oatmilk), and it suspends very nicely and does not sink to the bottom when at rest for a few moments. All around highly recommend. Unless you're Japanese and have had that real good stuff and would know the difference, this is probably good enough for most people.

Pretty good, recommend
Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
These are some photos and this Morton salt for size comparison. It’s pretty big. It has a spoon inside which is pretty useful. Ok so I really like this matcha. Its culinary grade and it tastes pretty good. I use it for my daily matcha latte. Its not bitter and actually slightly sweet-ish, but it has no additives so its nice. It does get a little clumpy when I stir it, I wish I had a matcha whisk, I just use a spoon.

Worth the money
Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I'm inexperienced with matcha... Just wanted to order some good matcha, only to discover all of these obscure classifications and prices varrying wildly. Before this brand, I ordered ceremonial and also "culinary cafe" from the jade brand. Couldn't really taste a significant difference, so I didn't sweat purchasing this. There is a difference with this: the higher quality matchas did foam more when mixing and had slightly thicker consistency, and tasted a bit less grassy. This brand actually tastes fantastic, if you don't mind a very subtle grassy but sweet flavor. The savory sweet flavor dominates in a good way; grassy is very much still nothing more than an afterthought. But - and a very significant but - it hardly foams after mixing. So, the viscosity of the liquid when mixed, although enjoyable, leaves something to be desired. That said, like a good salesman the seller points out that this mathca is unusual because of its concentration on being organic, even at the expense of whatever desirable flavor profile could be contributed by pesticides, lead, radiation etc. Perhaps this is an exaggeration... Nevertheless I take comfort in their emphasis on safety anyway. It's definitely more affordable, being around $1 an ounce. Thanks for keeping other matcha brands honest... So I recommend the value absolutely. But it you want the best of the best, I just don't know enough to give you a good answer.

Micro Ingredients Organic Matcha makes a good anytime tea.
Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Micro Ingredients Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, earthy, first-harvest matcha that balances approachability with authenticity. It’s a versatile and surprisingly smooth everyday matcha. The flavor leans toward earthy, grassy, and mildly nutty, with a gentle bitterness that feels natural rather than harsh.

Great. Just as good as fancy stuff But dose not pair with peppermint.
Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
If you're making Macha lattes or mixing the match with anything, this is perfect! No need to buy the expensive ceremonial level stuff unless you're drinking ONLY Macha. This is honestly perfect for everything. Mix 2 of its provided spoonfuls with 1/2 cup of kettle hot water and stir, maybe even add more matcha until a bit thick, pour over a glass full of ice (should fill half the glass if full of ice) as the last half as milk with a pump of your favorite syrup. Mine is strawberry, my gf's is Vanilla. Peppermint was not good, though fyi.
