Om tijdens het snijden de groenten zo min mogelijk te beschadigen is een goed mes essentieel.

Aziaten snijden met een zachte heen en weer beweging die de natuurlijke energie van het voedsel intact houdt en daarvoor zijn de grote messen met de afgeronde rechte hoeken ontworpen. De puntige messen zijn gemaakt voor een op en neergaande snijbeweging en dienen meer voor het zwaardere werk zoals het doorsnijden van een hele pompoen, het snijden van botten en graten etc.

Messen die gemaakt zijn van een combinatie van roestvrij staal en koolstofstaal snijden het best, maar kunnen gemakkelijker roesten of vlekken na het snijden van groenten met een hoge zuurgraad of fruit. Met geheel roestvrij stalen messen kan men wat zorgelozer omgaan. Een combinatie van beide goede eigenschappen is te vinden in het keramische mes. Het snijdt met de elegance van een koolstofstaal mes maar vraagt praktisch geen aandacht voor zichzelf. Gemaakt dus voor de ware kookkunstenaar.

I've ordered 8 of these Button-down collared, long sleeved Oxford shirts in eight different colors. I'm 6', weigh 195. And have a 44" chest and fairly broad shoulders. The XL give me ample room, plenty of shirt tail to tuck in. And are well made. The shirts have a nice soft feeling to them. If you wash them with like items, and dry them likewise, taking them out before the cycle ends and hanging them. You won't have a single wrinkle. The shirts are a little heavier than a poplin shirt and can be worn year-round. These are great casual shirts for jeans and a sport coat, or slacks. I like the quality and the colors. I also like the thickness of the shirts. All of the shirts I've bought, black, blue, etc, have white buttons. Which makes them more of a casual shirt. But well worth the price.
