POST-PUBLICATION REVIEW
This procedure yields the best possible results. After horizontal liposuction, which is carried out by means of a 2 mm diameter cannula through two lateral entry incisions – one upper and one lower – elastic lifting of the neck is performed through an 8 mm incision behind the lobe of one ear. An elasticated bandage is worn for a few weeks. If the double chin is not too pronounced, timedsurgical Adipolysis can be performed instead of liposuction; this has the advantage of not requiring an elasticated bandage and not leaving traces of surgical incisions.
