19. Elastic Neck lifting through a 1 cm incision behind the earlobe
Elastic neck lifting can be carried out even through a small 1 cm incision behind the lobe of one ear.
This ambulatory procedure restores the cervicomandibular angle, raises the skin and prevents drooping of the neck. Elastic neck lifting can be performed either on its own or to complete MACS lifting. The cervicomandibular angle is marked out while the skin of both corners of the jaw is drawn upwards. A second line is drawn parallel to the first and about 1 cm from it. If the second line is below the first, as in this case, the anterior skin of the neck will be lifted. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia.
